In Germany the kids clean and polish their shoes or boots on the evening of the 5th of December. If the kids have been good then they will find their shoes filled from Nicolas on the morning of the 6th. So Monday night Sydney worked very hard at cleaning her boots, in hopes of treats from Nicholas the next morning.
Here is Sydney checking out what Nicholas left in her boots - she couldn't even bring them inside first.
Sydney and Princess Sparkle - this is her new favorite toy - Filly Horses
Sydney showing off her treats that were in her boots.
It's really hard to fit stuff in such small shoes - so Nicholas needed 2 pairs of boots for Ashlyn
Ashlyn playing with her ornament trying to figure out what it does.
Ashlyn found Pluto inside her boots.
When we came home from Kindergarten there were more goodies waiting for the girls - they got delivered to the wrong door - so our neighbor said.
In Kindergarten the kids all had stockings that Nicholas filled for them.
At one point early afternoon the girls both ran to the window and were screaming in excitiment.
I wasn't happy to be seeing this white stuff come down - but it was cute how the 2 stood at the window in amazement. They're going to love Christmas in Canada with all the snow.
Here I am with the girls at the ward's Nicholas Party - we're singing christmas carols in this picture.
Ashlyn wanted to walk around the fire in the middle.
Nicholas finally arrived - Sydney was really excited to see him.
She even talked to him this year - last year she just said thanks and ran away.
Despite the cold wet raining day - it was a good Nicholas day filled with far too much chocolate.
