Quiet book

I saw a cute quiet book made all out of paper on the following website:
http://www.sewcraftcreate.com/2011/03/de-stashing-quiet-book-free-template.html
Seeing as it came with templates and everything - I thought I'd make the girls one.

Here is the Cover - I will probably add 3 more holes and then it should hold the pages tighter together.
Match the numbers to the sets of shapes.
Copy the pattern.
Put the letters in the mailbox.
Attach the kites to the strings.
Make an Ice Cream Cone.
Put the Birthday Cake together.
Put the apples on the tree - or pick the apples off the tree.
And finally a game of Tic Tac Toe.  Sydney wants to play this page all the time - too bad she doesn't quite understand the concept of the game.

14 Months Old

Ashlyn is 14 months old today.  She's walking when she has to - she'd much rather run with a push toy or crawl seeing as these ways are much faster. She loves attention - too much attention doesn't exist.  She loves to play with shoes - if someone takes their house shoes off and leaves them on the floor she'll bring them to you. If she finds her shoes she gets all excited and wants to play with them.
Here are a couple recent picture and then a video of her walking.

Ashlyn eating by herself - or at least trying to.
Ashlyn on her favorite park toy.
Ashlyn walking - don't know how many video attempts it took - but here she is.

Earrings

Sydney had the bad habit of bitting her fingernails.  One day she told me that she wanted earrings, so we made a deal.  Once she stopped bitting her fingernails she could get her ears pierced. She has stopped bitting for over 2 weeks, so today Sydney and I went to the mall to get it done.
Here is Sydney on the way to the mall without earrings.
Here is the after picture with earrings. She was so brave and so excited - and this was on the way home - she couldn't wait to go home and show Daddy her earrings.

New Bike

Sydney has outgrown her tricyle so we were on the look for a new bike - I found a used one couple weeks ago.
Sydney's reaction to the Bike when she saw it.
Sydney testing our the bike heading over to show the neighbors (Andrian, Dominik and Sid - their mom.)
The video is long - but Sydney loved to ride in circles around the sand.  She was showing David that she could ride fast and all by herself after 3 days of practising.

Summer holidays

Sydney had 3 and a half weeks off Kindergarten.  We spent as much time outside as possible.  We went to several different playgrounds close by, a couple amusement parks, played in the water, and learned how to ride a bike, but that is something for another blog entry.
Sydney, Dominik, and Andrian playing in the huge sand box behind the complex.
Ashlyn wasn't interested in the sand or toys - just the shoes.

The forest is seconds away from our complex  - so one day we went to a playground in the forest. 30 minutes each way is a challenge for the kids - but they loved it there.
Here are my kids on the see saw.
Here are the neighbor's boys on the other side.
Sydney and Dominik having fun on the swings.
Balancing act on the see saw.
Sydney loves to climb and climbs just about everything.  This was obviously more fun then using the slide properly.
Here are the 3 - Andrian, Dominik, and Sydney. (Ashlyn was busy sleeping.)
There were Mole hills all over - so the kids decided they wanted to explore the Mole hills and see if they could find the Mole  - no luck but they loved it.

Another Day - Another Park.
This was the coolest zip line swing we found.  2 kids fit on it - the kids couldn't get enough of it.
Ashlyn loves to rock on these toys - so the park was a hit for her as well.
Sydney loves to spin - she was the only one on because it was going too fast for everyone else.  This girl is never dizzy.

Here is the same playground by our complex as the first 2 pictures.
Daddy thinks Ashlyn should ride up the ramp.
 Sydney climbing up the ramp.
Ashlyn watching from the little house.
 Andrian's trun to climb up.
 Dominik's turn.
 Ashlyn and Daddy sliding.
The 3 crazy kids.

We also went to Killesberg Park one day and met up with Destiny, Elijah, and their mom.
The 3 kids infront of the flamingos.
Ashlyn and Elijah hanging out at the stroller.
 Sydney on the Zip Line.
 Everyone taking a snack break.
Destiny, Sydney, and Dominik on the wooden train.
Dominik, Destiny, Andrian, and Sydney watching the goats eat apples.

The summer break was not even 4 weeks longs, but it was packed full of lots of fun for the kids. Luckily for the mom's the 3 older kids are all back in Kindergarten.

Girly girls

Ashlyn loves purses, she will take mine and empty it for me any chance she gets so David gave her one to play with and this is what happened. She walked around the house carrying her purse.
 Ashlyn at 13 months.
Sydney wasn't much different - here is Syd at 9 months with my purse.

Schwaben Park

Schwaben Park is an amusement park not too far from home. We bought tickets from groupon: 2 adult entrance for the price of one and kids under 4 are free. We had a very long, very warm and fun filled day there - here are only some of the days highlights.
Syd and David on the carousel
 Bumper cars.
Syd could have spent the whole day on this slide.
 Destiny and Sydney riding away.
The girls and their flying boat.
 The bouncing castle.
Ashlyn and the car.

This was the only thing that ashlyn went on the whole day, but she loved it as you can see.
Destiny and Sydney on the train.
Hands in the air and screaming as loud as possible is the only way to enjoy the ride.

Flying to America - is where they said they were going.
Another swinging ride.
The girls and me in a crazy spinning flower.
Syd in her truck on the kiddy carousel.
