Rosenstein Museum

One activity that we did while Destiny and her family were here was we spent an afternoon at Rosenstein Museum.
Here are the girls outside the museum hanging out with the Lion.  Ashlyn was terrified of the Lion she kept telling us that her bum would hurt if she sat on the Lion.
Inside the musuem they had stuffed, perseved animals everywhere.  There were glass boxes with wildlife scenes, individual animals, diplays of animals groups, and hands on nature exhibits.  The kids had lots of fun running around and looking at all the animals.  The best displays for the kids were any that had buttons and need to be pushed. There was also a rainforest room with a treehouse that the kids loved.

Kindergarten Start Fall 2012

Here is a picture of Sydney on her very first day of Kindergarten, January 10, 2011.  In Germany kids start kindergarten with 3 years old and have 3 years of Kindergten before starting the 1st grade.
Here is Sydney's latest picture from Kindergarten September 18, 2012

Sydney & Destiny

Destiny and her family came back to Germany in August to visit - Sydney couldn't wait for them to get here.
Here are the girls together at Destiny's grandparents garden - they loved playing together on the trampoline.
We spent an afternoon at Killesberg Park.  This is a huge park with playground, tons of flower gardens, a train that runs through the park, animals (flamingos, llamas, goats, pigs, donkeys and horses), and much more.
Here are the girls and their matching dresses. Sydney insisted that they needed matching dresses again this year for Destiny's visit.
Hard to believe it's been an entire year since these pictures.  These two have a very special friendship that exisits even when they live on two different continents.

Vacation - Part 3

After 6 days with Oma and Opa we made our way to Jahnsdorf.  In Janhsdorf lives David's Opa, aunt and uncle, their 3 kids and their families, and another aunt.  The girls love coming here. The girls love going to visit Sarah, Vivien, and Samuel.  From the minute Syd took her shoes off we rarely saw her without Vivien.
We had great weather so we went swimming several times.
We went to a huge playground that entertained the kids for hours.
The girls had fun doing anything and everthing that involved their cousins.
Saying good-bye was easy this time cause the girls knew they would see their cousins again in a month.
